Shawford Parish Hall, Pearson’s Lane, Shawford, Winchester, SO21 2AG

Take St Cross Road or Badger Farm Road out of Winchester and at the big roundabout where these roads meet, take the turning for Compton and Otterbourne, not the one to the motorway.  Pass the turning for Compton, proceed up the hill and over the motorway* and take the first left for Shawford.  Beware!  This turning looms up very suddenly.  Pearsons Lane is the first turning on the left.  The Hall is at the bottom of the lane on the left.  The car park in front of it has white posts and chains.  If you are coming from the south on the M3, come off at J11, keep to the right at the first roundabout and when you come to the aforementioned big roundabout take the first exit, and follow the instructions above.

University of Winchester, Sparkford Road, Winchester, SO22 4NR

Parking is available at the very bottom of the site. Turn off the Romsey Road or Southgate Street into St James’ Lane.  Sparkford Road is on the right if you are going downhill and on the left if you are going uphill.   The turning to the car park is at the very bottom of the site just before Milnthorpe Lane.  Anyone can park there after 6.00 pm.  If you or your guest has a disabled badge, you can park opposite The Stripe.

The Queen, Kingsgate Road, Winchester S023 9PG

There is a car park behind the pub. Kingsgate Road is a continuation of Kingsgate Street and can be reached from Norman Road (on the left as you go along St Cross Road and turn left again at the end,) or you can continue along St Cross Road to the next turning on the left , which is Kingsgte Road itself. The pub is not far along on the left.

The Old Forge, Main Road, Otterbourne, SO21 2EE

Follow instructions or Shawford Parish Hall up to *. Continue for another mile or so, by which time you will be in the village of Otterbourne. The pub is on the left  with ample parking.

The Golden Lion, 99 Alresford Rd, Winchester, SO23 0JZ

By car: From the bottom of Winchester, cross the bridge and take the Alresford road up the hill.  The pub is on the left, after the road levels out, beyond a row of detached houses set back from the road and before the Victorian terraced houses begin.  There is plenty of parking behind as well as some in front of the building.

By Bus: no 64 from the bus station destination Alresford  runs every half hour and stops just before the Golden Lion, or no.1 runs every 15 minutes also from the bus station and stops at the top of Winnall Manor road, near the junction with  Alresford Road.  You need to then turn left into Alresford Road and keep walking until you come to the pub – it is not very far.
