WWG celebrates its 50th Anniversary, two years late because of the pandemic.

Reaching half a century and beyond is a great achievement and Winchester Women Graduates celebrated this achievement in style. The backdrop to this 50th celebration was the beautiful garden of WWG’s President Reefat Drabu, where much eating, drinking, talking and dancing took place.

While the champagne flutes sparkled in the sun Winchester Women Graduates welcomed the wider membership of BFWG, including our President Jasmit Phull. BFWG members travelled from all over the country to celebrate with Winchester Women Graduates. How wonderful it was after the restrictions imposed by a pandemic to be able to meet, mingle and have some fun.

While much has changed in the lives of women during the last 50 years, watching a vibrant group of graduate women come together round a particularly spectacular celebratory cake epitomised the spirit of friendship that runs through WWG and the wider BFWG. It was a day that will live in the memory for a very long time.

Our thanks to Christel for the photos, to Bela for the videos and to Rosemary and Rita for encouraging some of us to show our dance moves!
